Reading Your Trend Line: The Scale Lies

Daily weight is noise. Learn to read the weekly trend, pair it with photos and measurements, and trust the direction over the day-to-day.

Your weight this morning is mostly water, sodium, sleep and whatever you did yesterday. It is not a verdict.

Weigh Daily, Read Weekly

Weigh in every morning under the same conditions, then only ever act on the weekly average. Daily numbers exist to feed the average, not to be reacted to.

Pair It With Something Physical

The scale cannot tell you what kind of weight moved. Photos every two weeks and a waist measurement will.

Give It Three Weeks

One flat week is noise. Three flat weeks is information. Adjust then, and only then.

A year into maintenance and still weighing in every morning. Trusts the trend, not the number.
